Megan Lee Johnson

is my granddaughter. Here are a few pictures, but she rapidly outgrows any given image. Of course as granddaughter she has had lots of pictures taken!

Just over two years old, studying real analysis out of "Baby Rudin"...

The adults wanted to pose her in a chair reading Walter Rudin's Principal's of Mathematical Analysis. Megan clearly knew that sitting in a chair with the book on your lap is not the way to read a math book! She chose to get down on the floor, open the book (it is at the beginning of the chapter on the Riemann-Stieltjes Integral) and use a pen to make her own notes on the material...

We had a grand session taking portraits of many family members at the end of December, 2000. Here is the resulting picture of Megan.
