Hua Chair Professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He is well-known for generalizations of the deep and beautiful Gross-Zagier formula, sometimes called the Gross-Zagier-Zhang formula and for his proof of the Bogomolov conjecture in arithmetic geometry.
