Installing FireFTP in Firefox
- Open the Firefox browser on your computer
- Copy and paste this link into your Firefox browser:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/684/
- Scroll down and click on Install
- Wait 5 seconds and click on Install Now
- In Firefox, click on Tools and select FireFTP
- Click on Manage Accounts and select New (upper left hand corner)
- In Account Name, type a name (any name you want)
- In Host, type in
- Jupiter
- In Login, type in your login name
- It is not recommended to type in your password in the Password box.
Please leave it blank
- Click on Connection tab
- Select Security: Auth SSL (Better)
- Click OK
- Click on Connect to login to the FTP server
- Type in your password
- When you see Website Certified by an Unknown Authority
- Select Accept this certificate permanently or Accept this
certificate temporarily for this session
- When Security Error: Domain Name Mismatch pops up, click OK
Notes:
- You can only use Fire-FTP when you are Van Vleck.
- When you see Connection close; transfer aborted Click OK. It means
that transferring file is done. Please check the file sizes to make sure they
are the same size.
- You may use different FTP client to connect to FTP server but remember
to enable SSL on the FTP client because the FTP server requires using
SSL authentication.
