Using the Epson Perfection 2480 with the Mac in 322


General

To use the Mac, you must have an account in the Math Department. Login with your Math Department username/password. The Mac in 322 is attached to an Epson 2480 Photo scanner.



Scanning to PDF

  1. You can either do a scan using the Epson SmartPanel and clicking on the scan and save button (see below)



  2. Or just open Epson Scan directly
    (if you are not familiar with Mac OS X, click on the Finder icon on your task bar, then click on Aplications, then Epson scan



  3. If you want to customize your scan, select Professional mode from the mode drop down box. You will see the menu below:



  4. Make your selections and perform the scans. They will be saved in your Documents folder as img001.jpg .. img00N.jpg etc.
