H. Jerome Keisler received the PhD in 1961 from UC Berkeley. His thesis advisor was Alfred Tarski.
Professor Keisler had a long and distinguished career.
He was hired as an assistant Professor in 1962 and retired 40 years later in 2002.
He was awarded a University Houses professorship in 1975 and a Vilas Professorship in 1982.
