Department of Mathematics Graduate Research Awards

The Department of Mathematics has an annual competition for awards which recognize

excellence in research by a mathematics graduate student. A cash prize of $400 is awarded.

To nominate a graduate student, a letter from a faculty member knowledgeable of the

graduate student's research should be addressed to

Chair of Awards Committee

Department of Mathematics

UW-Madison

and given to the Graduate Program Administrator, Mary Rice, in 214 Van Vleck Hall.

This letter should summarize the research contributions of the nominee

and their significance. Copies of any relevant papers and their publication

status should accompany the nomination letter. Deadline for receipt of

nominations for the 2008 awards is: March 31, 2008.
