This is a topic course in Analysis and PDEs that is offered yearly in Fall and is of the sequence 819-820-821. The topics to be taught vary depending on the professors.
In Fall 2017, the topics are on kinetic equations and various applications. There is no required textbook. Roughly, the contents are
1. Basic theory of the Boltzmann equation
2. Various Boundary problems: Steady solution, Global solvability, Asymptotic behavier
3. Hydrodynamic limit of Boltzmann equation with variaous scalings
4. Derivation of Boltzmann from particle systems
5. Other topics.
