Non-Academic Pursuits

Here are some fun things I do with my spare time, when I have some.

Church

I attend the Madison Church of Christ, here is the website. I am happy to talk to anyone who is interested about religious life in Madison or campus religious organizations, especially prospective students.

Juggling

I am not an amazing juggler, but I do enjoy the activity. Madison has a great group and you can find them at this website.

Travel

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. On previous trips I've visited the Crow Reservation, Yakama Reservation, Mexico (Baja California and the Yucatan Penninsula), Guatemala, and Bolivia. The Guatemala Landing Zone is one organization that I'm personally familiar with and support.

Games

Card games and board games are a fun way to pass the time on a rainy day. Settlers of Catan is an entertaining game involving strategy; an adapted online version can be found here

Math Education

This may also be academic, but I do think math is fun! The NCTM offers great resources and conferences, you can find their website here
