Math 222 - Second Semester Calculus (lecture 003)

Office hours:  By appointment only. With a large lecture it is very unlikely that there is a time slot free to everyone in the class. If you want to talk to me, don't hesitate to contact me after lecture and we'll pick a time.

Lecture Times and Location: Van Vleck B102, 11:00 AM - 11:50 AM, MWF

Discussion:  Students will meet twice a week with their TA.
Textbook: This course will be taught out of lecture notes with problems written especially for this course. To download the PDF file containing lecture notes click here. In particular you should NOT buy the textbook which is used by other sections.
Homework assignments: Suggested problems from the notes will be assigned by your TA who will either collect homework solutions or give short quizes in discussion.
This semester some of the homework will also be webbased.
Exams and Grades: There will be three 50-minute midterm exams and one final exam. The midterms will be held in class on these dates:
Midterm 1 : Wednesday, February 20
Midterm 2 : Friday, March 28
Midterm 3 : Wednesday, April 23
The three midterm exams count for 20% each, the final counts for 25%. The homeworks (discussion and webbased) and/or quizzes which your TA assigns and grades will count for 15%
