General Info

Professor Isaacs maintains main course information on his website.

This is a supplemental webpage for Math 461 discussion sections. Look here for solutions to homework problems, quizzes, and so on.

Math 461 is taught in a lecture/discussion format. You will attend a lecture with Professor Isaacs twice a week, and then meet with me once a week in small sections to go over questions, homework problems, examples, and so on.

My goal is to help you learn the material as best as you possibly can. Please never hesitate to ask questions during discussion or via e-mail. I also love receiving feedback on teaching, organization, materials, and other course logistics.

Email

We have mailing lists setup for our course, and I very much encourage you to use them. Emailing the class is a great way to get homework help, since your question will be read by other students in addition to myself. This way we share advice with everyone and also give the opportunity for other students to chime in with help, which may get your question answered faster.

Classlist: math461-2-f11@lists.wisc.edu

The classlists are also a great way to arrange a study group, and so on. Of course, please feel free to mail me directly as well.
