Text Book: Thomas' Calculus (including Second Order Differential Equations),
11th edition,
revised by W.D. Weir, J. Hass, and F.R. Giordano.
Syllabus: We cover Chapters 8 -- 13 and 17 from the text book.
Homework and quizzes: Homeworks will be assigned each week on
Tuesday lecture and will not be collected. Quiz on the material covered by
the homework will be given on the following week discussion section.
Exams:
There will be two in class midterm exams and
cumulative final. "Make-up exams" cannot be given
except in the most unusual circumstances. The student seeking a make-up
exam should discuss with the instructor in advance and get the approval
before the exam.
Programmable calculators are not allowed on
the exams.

Final exam:
12:25 P.M. SAT. DEC 19
Grading:
The final grade will be determined by
two in class midterm exams (100 points each), the final exam
(200 points) and your grade in your discussion section (100 points).
Thus the maximum number of
points you can earn is 500.
Grades for the course will
be assigned according to the following standard:
A - 450+
AB - 435+
B - 400+
BC - 385+
C - 350+
D - 280+
F - 0+
