The local airport is Dane County Regional Airport (MSN). There are daily flights by American Eagle, Delta, Midwest Connect, Northwest, and United Express. There is a bus to and from the airport twice an hour on weekdays and hourly on weekends, but a transfer is required to get downtown. Cars may be rented there as well.
Other airports that are in the vicinity of Madison are Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago and General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee. Each of these is hours away from Madison. There are buses between Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago.
Madison is accessible via several major highways. Madison is a:

- 4 1/2-hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul (via Interstate 94)
