Tutoring
I began privately tutoring students in summer 2004. Since then, I have had experience tutoring students in Math 112, 171, 210, 211, 221, 222, and 340. Though I have experience in these I am comfortable with any of the elementary math courses.
For those of you seeking tutoring, remember that it is not my job to do your homework for you. My focus is on stressing the techniques used to solve problems, and more importantly, developing the problem solving skills necessary to decide what techniques are needed to solve a given problem.
My fee is $25 an hour, with negotiable fees related to preparation etc if needed. I can do anything from one-off meetings to cover a specific concept, sporadic exam reviews, to once (or more) a week meetings to comprehensively cover a course. If you are interested, please email me at haack (at sign) math (dot) wisc (dot) edu.
