As you surely know, the inequities in the current system are huge and due to multiple causes. I've known about this for some time, but I did not realize the scale of the inequities. Few residents appear to be aware of this and that is probably why the system has lasted this long. I do not think it can bear the light of day. Admittedly, I have a personal stake in reform. There are units of the same kind as Miriam's and mine (A2s) built in the same year (2003) with higher residency fees presumably due to more upgrades. But their property taxes are over $2,000 lower than ours. I urge you to deal with this issue at the meeting this month. I'll be glad to come talk to you if you wish. best wishes hans 2009/10/05
