| Grading: |
Section
counts for
20% of your total grade. Homework will be due at the end of
every class, and we will have short quizzes all weeks except exam
weeks. If you are turning your homework in at any other time
there will be a folder outside my office and it should be turned in
there with your section number clearly labeled. I will excuse 2
weeks of work, if you anticipate missing
more then 2 weeks for a legitimate reason please let me know. I
will be grading homework problems and quizzes on a scale
of 0-3 as follows. 0- nothing correct 1- something correct 2- mostly correct 3- completely correct As I have around 90 students I will not be able to give a great amount of feedback on the homework. I will try to point out any common mistakes in class. |
| Homework: |
Homework problems
are posted on the main course website given above. Your homework
should be on standard size paper, and stapled in the upper left hand
corner. If you do not have a stapler they are available in the
math library on B2 of Van Vleck among other places. Please
clearly label your homework with your name (and section if handed in
outside of class). |
| Quizzes: |
Quizzes with be
short (approximately 5 minutes) and will be base on homework
material. If you are comfortable with the homework from the week
you should have no trouble with the quizzes. |
