The final exam will be held on Wed., Dec 21 at 7:45am in
van Vleck B102. It is
an in-class, close-book exam. Calculators are allowed. It covers
materials for the entire semester, with more weight (about 70%) on the
materials not covered by the two midterm exams.

Grading:
The final grade will be determined by
two in class midterm exams (25% each)
the homeworks (10%), and the final exam (40%).
The final score will be curved.
Exams:
There will be two in class midterm exams on Oct 4 and Nov 15,
and the final exam on Dec 21 (at 7:45am).
"Make-up exams" cannot be given
except in the most unusual circumstances. The student seeking a make-up
exam should discuss with the instructor in advance and get the approval
before the exam.
