Exam schedule:
Midterm1: Feb 26 (Tuesday) in class
Midterm2: April 15 (Tuesday) in class
Final: May 14 (Wednesday) 12:25pm-2:25pm
Grading: The final grade is based on the Total Score= ( homework and discussion sections ) x 15% + ( midterm1 ) x 20% + ( midterm2 )x25% + ( final ) x40%. Note:
Midterms are kept as raw scores and won't be curved. We only curve
the total score. The curve can only be determined after the final.
There is a rough way to estimate your grade based on your total
score: A:>=90/100, B:>=80/100 and C:>=70/100. For example,
if your homework and discussion part is 90/100, and midterm1, midterm2 and final are 80/100, 85/100 and 90/100 respectively, then
your total score is 90x15%+80x20%+85x25%+90x40%=86.75, and you are likely to get AB.
