Advanced Placement Tests
Advanced Placement score of 5 on the AB test	Math 130 satisfied
Advanced Placement score of 5 on the BC test	Math 130 and 131 satisfied
Advanced Placement score of 4 on the AB test	Contact Professor Lempp
Advanced Placement score of 4 on the BC test	Math 130 satisfied
Advanced Placement score below 4	No exemption

Mathematics Course Work
Math 221, 275, 217, or 213 (or exact transfer equivalent for any of these) completed with a grade of B or better	Math 130 satisfied
Math 222, 234, 276, or 375 (or exact transfer equivalent) completed with a grade of B or better	Math 130 and 131 satisfied
Any of the course work above (or exact transfer equivalent) completed with a grade below a B	No exemption
Math 211	No exemption
Off-campus Math electives with elements of Calculus	No exemption
Off-campus "Math for Teachers" courses	Contact Professor Lempp

Notes:

In general, no exemption for Math 132 can be expected.
Students who have completed Math 234 or above (or their exact transfer equivalents) may consult with Professor Lempp regarding additional exemptions. Math 132 exemptions should not be anticipated.
Since students can receive Calculus course credit for an AP score of 3 on the BC test, students and staff cannot rely solely on the courses indicated on the transcript to determine a student's exemption status. Staff should review the AP test data via ISIS.
