PUBLIC GROUND TRANSPORTATION TO MADISON

There is no Amtrak train service to Madison but Van Galder Bus Co. has a bus from Chicago's Amtrak Station to the Memorial Union right on campus four times a day which is code shared and ticketed with Amtrak.

Madison is also well served by Greyhound Bus Co. (phone (800) 231-2222) along the major interstate routes and by airport limousines from Chicago O'Hare and Milwaukee airports (as well as from downtown Chicago and downtown Milwaukee).

Note that for travel between Madison and South Bend/University of Notre Dame, the best connection is combining two airport limos via O'Hare, namely, Van Galder Bus Co. and United Limo.

For travel between Madison and the University of Chicago, one can combine the O'Hare airport limo (Van Galder Bus Co.) and either the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) or the Omega Shuttle.
