The Essay:

3 pages double spaced
It should apply the methods of an area covered in class to a problem 
encountered by you/your family/an issue of concern to you.
It should include:
	a description of the problem setting
	reasons why the methods discussed apply
	at least one computation
	a conclusion, describing how the methods point to a solution of 
		the problem
	
	and it should be handed in by the ***last day of classes***.
	Late submissions will not be accepted.

If you refer to outside source material, there should be a bibliography.
