You will meet with your teaching assistant (TA) each Tuesday and Thursday. Your TA will begin each meeting by giving you a quiz consisting of one randomly chosen problem from your list of homework problems or a nearby similar problem. Your final grade will be arrived at by first adding the 350 points on exams, curving and assigning letter grades A,AB,B,BC,D,F. Your TA using a combination of quiz grades, class participation, or whatever else the TA wants to use (ask him or her) will then arrive at your final grade by taking your exam grade and raising or lowering it by at most one step. For example, if your exam grade is B, then your TA may either raise it to AB, leave it the same B, or lower it to a BC.
