- Exam 1: Thursday Feb 14, 5:30-7:00pm. Location: B130 Van Vleck.
- Exam 2: Tuesday Mar 25, 5:30-7:00pm. Location: B130 Van Vleck.
- Exam 3: Tuesday Apr 22, 5:30-7:00pm. Location: B130 Van Vleck.
- Final Exam: Sunday May 11, 07:45am. Location: 2103 Chamberlin.
Homework
Homework will be collected every Friday. Here is the problem list.
- January 25, Sections 1.1 and 1.2
- February 1, Sections 1.3 through 2.2
- February 8, Sections 2.3 and 2.4
- February 15, Sections 2.5-2.7 will not be collected.
- February 22, Sections 3.1, 3.2.
- February 29, Sections 3.3 and 3.4. Start working on 4.1. for next week.
- March 7, Sections 4.1, 4.3, 5.1 and 5.2.
- March 14, Sections 5.4, 5.5, 6.1, 6.2.
- March 25, do Sections 6.3 and 6.5., but they will not be collected.
- March 28, no homework will be collected.
- April 4, Sections 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3.
- April 11, Sections 7.4, 7.5 and 8.1.
- April 18, Sections 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 8.5.
- April 21 (Monday), Do section 8.6. This will not be collected.
- April 15, no homework will be collected.
- May 2, Sections 9.1, 9.2, 9.3.
- May 9, Sections 9.4 and 3.5. Last homework! This will not be
collected.

Please keep in mind that these exams are from previous semesters which for the
most part cover the same material we cover, but can at times focus on different material.
Quizzes:
Quizzes will be held every Monday. The majority of the problems will be taken
directly from the homework set handed in the previous Friday.
What resources are available for you?
- Your Textbook and your Class notes are an excellent source of information.
You should look at examples in the text as well as examples done in class.
It is often-times helpful to look at other problems in the book!
- I have an office and email. Please contact me any time you have a
questions or concerns.

Tutorial Program
- Math Lab:
Mon-Thur 3:30-8:30 PM. These guys offer free drop in
tutoring, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!
- GUTS:
Free tutoring in many disciplines in various locations on campus,
staffed by volunteers.
- The math department has a list of
private tutors.
- If students have enrollment problems (wishing to enroll in a
CLOSED section, etc.), they should go to the Math Help Desk during
the first two weeks of classes. The Math Help Desk is in room 307
Van Vleck.
