DeRham model of Chen-Ruan orbifold cohomology ring on abelian orbifolds

Abstract:

We explain our joint work with S. Hu. Chen-Ruan discovered a quantum ring structure on orbifold cohomology. As a consequence, it induces a "classic" level of ring structure which is now known as Chen-Ruan cohomology ring. We explain that there is indeed a simple way to recover this structure classically (vs. quantum). As a consequence, the computation of the ring structure is simplified dramatically.
