Matrix factorizations and complexes of vector bundle

- -an approach from 2d QFT with boundary

Abstract:

Physics suggests equivalence of the category of (graded) matrix factorizations of a degree N polynominal G(X) of N variables and the derived category of coherent sheaves of the Calabi-Yau hypersurface G(X)=0 in P^{N-1}, and a class of equivalences are constructed by Orlov. We construct a model of 2d QFT with boundary that reproduces that class of equivalences. This provides us a detailed information of D-branes and offers several relevant applications. This is a joint work with Manfred Herbst and David Page.
