McKay's correspondence and modular representations of finite groups

Abstract:

This talk is largely based on Magda Sebestean's PhD. I will explain how representations of SL_2(2^n) over a field of characteristic 2 can be related to a G-Hilb scheme. This should generalize to some highly non-commutative versions of the problem of constructing derived equivalences between crepant resolutions.
