Non-Academic Pursuits

I do things other than math occasionally, these are some of them.

Ultimate Frisbee

I play a lot of Ultimate in my free time. Madison has a great set of recreational leagues all year long; for more information you should check out the Madison Ultimate Frisbee Association website. I also play competitively, my first two years of graduate school (2006-2007 and 2007-2008) I played for the University of Wisconsin college team. Now that I'm out of college eligibility, I play for and have captained the Madison Club Ultimate team. We qualified for the national tournament each of the past three years after a long hiatus.

Games

As a combinatorist, I love card games and board games. If you're interested in board games, I strongly recommend the site board game geek.

Church

I would be happy to talk about religious life in Madison with anyone who is interested in it (especially prospective students). I am a member of a CRC congregation that meets on campus, but I can direct you to a number of different opportunities to engage in religious life.
