Conference on Stochastic Networks

Location

The Conference on Stochastic Networks will be held June 19-24, 2000 in the newly remodeled and expanded Pyle Center on the shore of Lake Mendota on the University of Wisconsin campus. The Pyle Center is next to the Memorial Union (site of the 1989 SPA conference) and its famous lakeside terrace. The Center is one block from State Street which has a concentration of restaurants. Accommodations will be reserved for the conference participants at the Madison Inn (one block from the Pyle Center) and the Friedrick Center (a ten or fifteen minute walk from the Pyle Center along the lakefront).

Format of Conference

The Conference will feature 24 invited lectures and a small number of contributed papers. Participants wishing to present a contributed talk should submit an abstract by April 1. The time available for contributed papers during the Conference is limited and participants submitting abstracts will be notified by May 1 whether or not it will be possible to schedule their talks.

Registration

The registration fee for the Conference will be $120 for registrations made before May 1 and $130 for registrations after May 1. Registration may be made by regular mail or on line.

Workshop.

The conference will be followed by a Workshop on Stochastic Networks, June 26-30, directed at young researchers interested in developing research programs in the area. Funding for participants is anticipated. All conference participants are welcome to attend the workshop.
