2011-2012 Problem Set V



WISCONSIN MATHEMATICS, ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH



The list below contains the identification number (ID) of the students who submitted complete or partial solutions to Problem Set V (the student will receive an email or a post card at her/his home address indicating this unique number). The ID is followed by the participant's score (SCORE) for the set of five problems. The first digit is the score on the first problem, the second digit is the score on the second problem, and so on. Three points are awarded for a complete, correct solution, 2 points for substantial progress on a solution, 1 point for the germ of an idea that would lead to a solution, 0 points otherwise, and x if no solution was submitted.
