(My name in Vietnamese: Từ Nguyễn Thái Sơn, people call me Son.)
I am a Ph.D. student at the Univesity of Wisconsin - Madison under the guidance of Professor Hung V. Tran. My main interest is Partial Differential Equations, particularly questions related to Hamilton-Jacobi equation. Here is the slide for a talk I gave in our PDE and Geometric Analysis seminar.
I am a teaching assistant for Math 521 summer 2020.

Publications and preprints

  1. Vanishing discount problems for Hamilton--Jacobi equations on changing domains,   arXiv reprint.
  2. (with Yeoneung Kim and Hung V. Tran) State-constraint static Hamilton-Jacobi equations in nested domains,   arXiv reprint (2019), accepted to SIAM journal on Mathematical Analysis.
  3. Rate of convergence for periodic homogenization of convex Hamilton-Jacobi equations in one dimension,   arXiv reprint (2018), Asymptotic Analysis.

I am a co-organizer of the AMS student chapter seminar (a.k.a "Donuts seminar"), please visit here.
In May 18-21, 2020, my advisor and I will organize a workshop in PDE, see madpde2020.
