In San Diego in March 2009

My name is Christelle Vincent, and I am a fourth year graduate student at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I was born in Montréal, Canada, and I speak French and English fluently. In my free time I knit, play videogames and read books. If this is Ken reading this, in my free time I do math. Of course.

I spend my days doing math, more precisely number theory, under the supervision of Ken Ono. I am currently studying Drinfeld modular forms, which are the analog in finite characteristic of modular forms, and considering their reduction modulo a prime ideal, à la Serre and Swinnerton-Dyer. I also spend a healthy amount of time thinking about classical modular forms, mostly those of half-integral weight.

I am fortunate enough that the Department of Mathematics is able to offer me a TAship every semester. I really enjoy teaching, and I spend quite a bit of time thinking about it. I always welcome questions or discussions about pedagogy.

Finally, I would like to thank the Great State of Wisconsin and NSERC for their financial support.
