Math 725: A Second Course in Real Analysis

Betsy Stovall (Spring 2018): This course is a continuation of Math 721 and covers introductory material in functional analysis,  distributions, Fourier analysis, and other real analysis  topics.

Sources: We will continue to use the Math 721 text (Folland's Real Analysis).

Highly recommended are also Vol III-IV in the Princeton Lecture Series in Analysis, by Stein and Shakarchi (Vol III: Real analysis: Integration, measure theory and Hilbert spaces, Vol IV: Functional Analysis: Introduction to further topics in Analysis).

Another useful text is Brezis, "Functional analysis, Sobolev spaces and partial differential equations".
