Math 776: Model Theory

Steffen Lempp, Spring 2018:

This is a first-semester course in model theory, covering classical topics such as definability, quantifier elimination, back-and-forth games, amalgamation, indiscernibles, omitting types, categoricity and Morley's Theorem. We will also hope to cover some modern topics, such as an introduction to stability theory.
