Prerequisites for Math 171

To take the Math 171-217 sequence, you must place into either...
  •  Math 114
  •  Math 112 (with ALG placement score above 500), or
  •  Math 113*

...or have transfer credit for Math 112 or Math 113.


Who Should Take Math 171?

We recommend this sequence to students meeting the above criteria and either majoring in Engineering, or have seen calculus in a previous course.
