Incoming Grad Student receives NSF Fellowship
Ren Watson, currently an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, has been awarded a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship as well as a CGRS Graduate Fellowship from UW-Madison. Ren is broadly interested in algebra, number theory, and combinatorics, with her past research focusing on additive number theory, arithmetic combinatorics, and algebraic geometry. At UW-Madison, Ren wants to continue exploring algebraic number theory and algebraic combinatorics. The NSF GRFP, awarded to those with high potential for significant and impactful research, will provide her with three years of funding. The CGRS Graduate Fellowship is offered to graduate students at UW-Madison who have demonstrated substantial achievement and will contribute to fostering a diverse academic community at UW-Madison, and will provide her with an additional two years of funding.
Congratulations, Ren, and we look forward to seeing you in Madison in the Fall!
