The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) selected Jean-Luc Thiffeault as a member of its 2026 Class of SIAM Fellows. Thiffeault was recognized for many inventive approaches to the modeling and characterization of mixing, chaotic and complex flows, microorganism transport, braids, and dynamical systems.
