The Institute of Mathematical Statistics, one of the two main scientific societies for probability theory, has established an award in memory of our former emeritus professor Tom Kurtz, who passed away on April 19, 2025. The biennial award recognizes contributions to the theory and application of stochastic networks. Read more here:
