Tonghai Yang has won a Kellett Mid-Career Award.  The Kellett awards recognize outstanding faculty seven to 20 years past their first promotion to a tenured position. Supported by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, they provide research funding to the winners at a critical stage of their careers.   

Daniel Erman has won a Vilas Mid-Career Investigator Award.   The award is meant to recognize research and teaching excellence in faculty who are at mid-career. The mid-career designation generally means faculty 10 to 20 years into a career.
